See what Jim and Veronica took to MTTS and beyond on their 10,000+ mile road trip this summer…
We had a great day with MTTS at the Keystone Resort and taking in the beautiful mountain drives and vistas around the area,
The night ended with a terrific farewell party for all the MTTS participants.
The highlight of the party was. “Silent Disco” where everyone listened and danced to different songs at the same time. Great Fun!
Our group made its way across the prairie to Dodge City – the land of Boot Hill, Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson. The Boot Hill Museum was a great bit of history and storytelling…http://www.villagesminicooperclub.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/img_4139.trim-1.mov
There were MINIs as far as the eye could see from the hotel…
To the car wash where everyone took the opportunity to clean off the prairie dust and bugs.
Then it was off for a great steak dinner at Tim’s distant cousin’s place
A great place to eat and plot the next day’s trip to Keystone and a meet up with the western rallyers from MINIs Take The States.
A group of our Villager MINIS took a side trip from Little Rock to scenic Eureka Springs, AR. Here we are getting ready to leave the hotel.
Then a stop at the Clinton Airport to register and see all the MINIs assembled there for the rally to Dallas.
Then it was on to Eureka Springs via back roads for some spirited driving and lunch st the spectacular Cliff House Inn.
We checked in to a lovely B&B …
and walked the twisting, hilly streets to dinner. If you’ve never been to Eureka Springs it’s well worth the trip.
MINI USA put out a fabulous spread for breakfast as our Villages MINIs got off to a great start
Today’s MTTS route was published and one of the waypoints is Whispering Oaks winery just down the road from The Villages. See route map below:
Nancy sent a photo of the MINIs assembling at Camping World field. The should be leaving by 9:00 AM
Nancy shared some photos from the group’s pre MTTS gathering in Tampa. Apparently our group took five of the eight prizes at the event. Looks like a splendid time was had by all.
The Villages MINI Cooper Club has 16 MINIs driving some legs of MTTS 2018 with 10 cars going ALL THE WAY to Keystone Colorado. Everyone is gassing up their MINIs and doing the last bit of spit and polish. Follow us here for the latest.
