Things to Consider When Purchasing a MINI

1) WHICH MODEL:

a. Coupe (hard top) – 2 door
b. Coupe (hard top) – 4 door
c. Convertible
d. Clubman – 3 door
e. Countryman – 4 door

2) TEST DRIVE:

a. Go to a dealer and drive both the “S” and the standard engine car of your choice.

The ”S” has a turbocharger which increases performance and has the following
equipment as standard on the Coupe:
i. Sport seats ‐ $250 option
ii. Fog lights ‐ $250 option
iii. Rear Spoiler ‐ $250 option
iv. 16” or 15” wheels
v. White side turning lights
vi. Aluminum alloy foot pedals
vii. Paddle shifters on the automatic transmission

3) WHEELS & TIRES:

a. generally the larger the wheel the lower the tire profile. Normally a lower tire
profile will increase the harshness of the ride.
b. thus a 17” wheel/tire will have a a rougher ride than the 15” or 16”
c. the 17” will look better to you, so be aware of the trade‐off

4) STANDARD SHIFT OR AUTOMATION TRANSMISSION:

a. automatic is an up charge of $1,250.
b. gas mileage and performance are a slight difference

5) SEATS:

a. the standard seat cover is “leatherette”, or vinyl as we know it. It does not
breath like cloth or leather, and in Florida summers you may think it is “hot” to
the feel.
b. cloth is available on some non‐convertible models
c. leather is an upcharge starting at $1,750
